Exclusive Interview: Hayley Williams Discusses The Farro Brothers Leaving Paramore-by Chris Ryan

The year 2010 should have gone down in the books as a banner year for Paramore. They toured the world behind their incredible Brand New Eyes album, singer Hayley Williams had a hand in a smash hit for rapper/singer B.o.B. with "Airplanes," and the band was looking to take some time off in 2011 to write and record a new album.

But all of that changed when, on December 18th, Paramore announced the departure of guitarist Josh and drummer Zac Farro from the band they helped found.

Then, on December 21st, Josh and Zac Farro released a statement via their blog that not only gave an incredible amount of detail regarding their reasons for leaving, but made some serious accusations about the band, claiming the group was "a manufactured product of a major label," and was, at least in the early days, controlled largely by Hayley Williams' father.

So now, in the new year, the remaining three members of Paramore --Hayley, Taylor York and Jeremy Davis -- have decided to respond to the statement and all the Internet rumor mongering that has come since its release.

MTV News sat down with the remaining members of Paramore to get the story in their own words. Below is an interview clip of Hayley Williams discussing the aftermath of the Farro brothers' statement and the future of the band itself. The video clip is part of "Paramore: The Last Word," an exclusive MTV News interview with the band. The complete Paramore interview will be unveiled Friday, Jan. 7 at 4pm ET as a live stream on MTV.com: "Paramore: The Last Word" will feature in-depth analysis of the band's future, real-time discussion with their biggest fans and exclusive footage of the band, past and present.

Be sure to check out "Paramore: The Last Word," and stay tuned for more interview footage.
